What a surprise when I woke up this morning... at 2am! What a bigger surprise when I looked outside and saw snow flying in the air. So of course I had to get up and go for a nice quick walk with Flick. Then I went back to bed until it was actually time to get up!
Today was a very productive day... Both teams got out for a 15 mile run! What a difference the snow makes! The dogs just wanted to go and go and go! Every time I tried stopping for a break they would pull the quad with the brake on! Needless to say I was very impressed!
Team A is showing a lot of great potentials for the Quest team, it is defiantly going to be hard to choose who, so I am not making any decisions until we run some longer runs. Paws, as usual, is a terrific leader and a smart one too! Team B is full of great dogs too. In this pack there a couple issues. Miles had a really hard time keeping up with the pack, not sure if it had to do with the deworming on Monday or if he just isn't feeling well. Tao is starting to get harness rub on his chest, so the first thing I did when I got home was ordered him a special T-shirt to protect him. Other then that today was an awesome day... might of been a long day (from the lack of sleep), but defiantly awesome!
Special thanks to my friend Allison who brought me a nice hot coffee this morning, my loving mother who brought me one in the afternoon, and Katie who brought me one this evening (and a gross bagel, I do not recommend the new Tim Horton's apple caramel bagel)!
