I was curious as to why it was so cold out, so I checked the weather... Minus 35, minus 42 with the windchill! I got dressed and ran outside to check on the dogs. They were a bit frosty, but in good spirits. So I made up a hot breakfast and put them in their homes to get a good rest out of the wind.
I went back inside and cleaned up the cabin, collecting all of my dirty laundry. For some reason I thought Kira came tonight, but in reality it's tomorrow night. Silly me.
We packed up, went to the rec center for a shower then to the laundromat to clean our clothes. After 10 minutes we finally figured out how to use the washing machine! We put on our loads and took off in search of food.
We came across a small lounge called "Gold Pan Lounge" so we went in. Little did we know that there was a Scrabble tournament going on. It was funny and awkward all at the same time.
The food was good there and the tournament was a good laugh! We headed back to the laundromat to switch our loads to the dryer... That took another 10 minutes to figure out! I feel like a sheltered child!
Once we had that figured out we took of to the store to buy some snacks and drinks, went back and waited for our clothes to be dry.
I noticed my load was done, so I took it out. Nice and dry. Terrance's load was still wet, so he put it back on and we waited some more.
Finally he took his out, but it was still damp. He figures he will hang it to dry...
Back at the cabin I made the dogs their supper, cleaned up poop, did a few dishes and cut all the dogs nails. I gave Hickock some nutri paste... Hopefully that will give him a good boost on the weight gain!
Well it's about that time to stack the stove and get to bed! Hopefully it's not that cold out tomorrow and we can go on a nice run along the lake again!
