We had a bagel, washed ourselves up and wasted no time getting to work.
Terry ran into town to pick up some last minute items while me and Terrance set work to the bags. We started with the chicken, beef, fat and snacks such as tripe, eggs, wieners, and fish.
There are 9 checkpoints that need food bags. Some need more then others.
Once we figured out the meat bags, we went inside for some lunch and a coffee break. We only had instant coffee and no sugar or creamer. So we used chocolate milk and Jube Jube candies as sugar. Our hot dogs were gross because Uncle Terry bought all chicken ones.
We then started on the other bags. These ones had supplements, electrolytes, mitts, batteries, clean underwear, socks, treats, food for me, sled parts, ointments, gloves, bags and more.
Once we had all the bags full we sewed them shut with twine. Terrance did a good job with that.
We loaded them into the truck and by the time I knew it, it was 11:30 at night! Boy, that day went by fast!
The dogs are put to bed and I'm not far behind them. We have to go to the food drop tomorrow and hopefully have a good hot shower!
