I stopped at Tim hortons for a coffee, McDonald's for breakfast and then went out to the Klondike highway for some straw at a place called Hubert enterprises. 4 bales cost me 50 dollars, not too bad for around here I guess!
I went back to the cabin to give the dogs their breakfast. I soaked some kibble in electrolytes and water over night and gave it to them like that. All of them ate it well, even Kita.
Terrance went to go get water while I cleaned up poop and put new straw in their boxes.
Wendy stopped by with a trail map of the area so we could get out and run some dogs tomorrow.
Mom said the puppies are getting pretty big, and I would guess so at 3 weeks old!
We decided to go to town to shower. As we were driving down the road, the wood guy came with the rest of our load. We left his money under a kitty litter box and he unloaded it for us. We realized that we had forgotten out towels and had to go get some at Walmart.
We went to the Rec Center for our shower. It wasn't too bad other then you had to keep pushing in the button for water to come out.
Back at the cabin we ate, cleaned up and let the dogs out. I fed them again, soaked kibble but this time I put it into their bowls and added more water mixed with chicken broth. Hopefully tomorrow they will eat straight kibble and water. But one can only hope.
Putting the dogs away has become pretty easy. We just let them go and they go straight for the trailer.
I was trying to find out where you can buy a pair of those bunny boats that people seem to wear here. Apparently they are good to minus 90, even with wet feet!
